Pool installation carried out with restricted access, and with challenging ground conditions.

This recent pool installation was carried out with restricted access down the side of a garage. The fall of the ground was approximately 2.5 metres from one end of the excavation to the other. To compensate for this restraining walls were constructed on 3 sides of the pool to retain the existing ground levels. The walls were designed by a structural engineer and passed by building control prior to construction.

The fully tiled pool was complete with an automatic slatted cover, gas heating and state-of-the-art filtration incorporating fully automated control.

A Spa pool was installed alongside the pool to enhance the whole project.

The pool surrounds, expansive step layouts and terracing around the house were finished with Indian York Stone with a tumbled "Antique" finish to give a very warm feel to the pool area.
